2018 Wedding Expos

January is always a fun and exciting time for us here at APP because it is Wedding Expo Season! Over two busy weeks we get the chance to showcase some of our favorite rental items for the season, debut new items, and meet hundreds of new couples ready to plan their special day. We always have so much fun in the weeks leading up to the Expos planning out how we want our booths to look. A lot goes on behind the scenes of those pretty booths and today we want to share how we do it! Starting with what inspires us to the finished product we want to take you along for the ride. Get ready to see how we transform out booths!

Tacoma

For our Tacoma Wedding Expo we knew that we wanted to debut some of out new items that came after expo season last year. One of the main items we wanted to show were our Fruitwood Padded Chairs. We were looking for color inspiration that would complement the dark stained wood and our Brushed Gold Flatware. This bouquet hit our idea spot on! Romantic colors and soft textures that would complement our chairs and flatware.

With a soft, romantic color pallet in mind we looked to our color wall to find the perfect linens for the Tacoma show. Keeping in mind that we would be pairing the linens with wood and gold elements, we thought our Bamboo Nova Linen would provide the perfect base for our table. Knowing that we wanted to add color, and shy away from using too many neutrals, we decided that Satin Magenta would give us a nice pop of color!

After deciding on our colors we came up with a layout for our booth. We have a larger booth in Tacoma which gives us a lot of room to play with. This year we decided to take a tent to cover half the booth and to hang cafe lights over the other half to bring the outside in. Our 12 foot long table brought just the right amount of drama to make out booth look romantic and intimate. The Cafe lights over the top definitely set the mood! using low floral arrangements and votives kept our design elegant and simple, nothing too over the top. Adding small details such as the names on the plates helped tie everything together, to help brides envision their big day!

When we saw this picture we were immediately inspired! A perfect blend of color and texture that just pops against her bright white dress. We also loved that it features Ultra Violet (Pantone's 2018 Color of the Year), without being too over powering. This was just the inspiration that we were looking for in planning our Seattle Show Booth; something fun, bold, and unique!

Our color pallet was different from the Tacoma Show. We wanted bold vibrant colors that made people say "WOW", something a little different from the traditional wedding color scheme. We decided to play off our inspiration and use Cerise, Cobalt, Bamboo, and Copper. These colors paired with bright floral would really make a statement!

This was our second year attending the Seattle Wedding show. We learned a lot from last year which helped us when planning for this year's booth. Instead of using a tent we wanted to create something that was airy and elegant. Borrowing some inspiration from the Tacoma Show we decided to create a ceiling of cafe lights and wrap the exposed poles with greenery. Our booth was transformed into our own tropical jungle! We kept things simple by showing one long table (with all the color we didn't need much more). The floral from Jen's Blossoms was the perfect finishing touch. To have some fun and give it that tropical flare we added in some citrus and gold tropical leafs. We were head over heels in love with this booth!

We had so much fun planning and attending this years expos! Now on to appointment season where we get to sit down and meet with all our new Brides! Cheers to the 2018 wedding season!
