Pier to Table Dinner

This past year, we were able to help with planning the Pier to Table dinner for the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association. We have helped with the Food and Wine festival for many years in the harbor, and this event was a celebration of the 10th year of putting it on!

The event was to be held behind the Harbor History Museum, which isn’t usually an outdoor venue. This took careful planning and measuring to see that 100 people could fit in a small space. We sketched out many diagrams and different table configurations to see what would accommodate the patio best.

The hosts of the event wanted to go with a very natural, organic theme that pulled in notes of the sea. They chose slate blue napkins, Carousel Blue water goblets and Birch chargers for an earthy feel. Farm tables finished the look, as well as Fruitwood chairs created a very organic looking setting.

Heritage Distillery, a local Gig Harbor legend, came to serve signature Lavender Cocktails, which completed the menu of farm fresh items. Each plate of Salmon came with an identification number to tell when and where each fish was caught! You were even provided a picture of the fish you were eating before it was cooked.

All in all, the evening was a great success! Local wineries came and gave descriptions of the different wines they were tasting, and to finish off the night, a jazz band performed so guests could dance the night away! The event was fabulous – we can’t wait for next year!
